This is the day the Lord has made, let us Rejoice and be glad in it!

1. The Problem: Our Sin

Romans 3:23 (ESV): "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

Every person is a sinner and has failed to meet God's perfect standard.

2. The Consequence: The Penalty for Sin

Romans 6:23 (ESV): "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

The deserved consequence for sin is spiritual death, but God offers eternal life as a free gift.

3. The Solution: God's Demonstration of Love

Romans 5:8 (ESV): "But God demonstrates his own love for us in that: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

God provided the way to pay the penalty for our sin by sending Jesus to die in our place.

4. Our Response: To Receive Salvation

Romans 10:9-10 (ESV): "because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

Romans 10:13 (ESV): "For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

Pray this prayer if you are ready to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour:

Dear God,

I come to You today acknowledging that I need You. I admit that I have sinned and fallen short of Your standards. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son, that He died for my sins, and that He rose again to give me life.

I ask for Your forgiveness. Today, I open the door of my heart and invite You to come in. I accept Jesus as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for Your grace, Your love, and for the gift of eternal life. Help me to live for You from this day forward.
