Scripture – Observation – Application – Prayer, also known as S.O.A.P., is a way of studying scripture. These entries will provide a quick overview of scripture and offer a mechanism for studying the Word and prayer.
Scripture:
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy, hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”
Observation:
- We are to live with great expectations.
- Our priceless inheritance is beyond the reach of change and decay.
- God is protecting you by His power.
- We live in hope and promise because God has a great plan for us. Our present circumstances do not change God’s promise and plan for us.
Application:
I have allowed myself to believe Satan’s lies that I can’t accomplish anything. My time is over. My mistakes have disqualified me from the promises of God. Today, I focus on what God has spoken and quiet the voices that are contrary to this.
Prayer:
Lord, I believe all that You’ve spoken to me. Help me to walk out Your plan for me. In Jesus name, Amen.
