Scripture – Observation – Application – Prayer also known as S.O.A.P. is a way of studying scripture. These entries will provide a quick overview of scripture and offer a mechanism for studying the Word and prayer.
Scripture:
“For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.”
Observation:
- The world’s thinking leads to death.
- Focus on the things of God brings life and peace.
Application:
My thinking and attitude will determine where my mind is. If it’s on the world, there will be worry and stress. If it’s on God, there will be peace.
Prayer:
Lord, a song keeps replaying in my mind called “A Path in the Sea.” It’s in line with Your Word. There’s no need to worry because You reveal a path in the sea because You already knew how You would see me through. I look to You. In Jesus name, Amen.
