Scripture – Observation – Application – Prayer also known as S.O.A.P. is a way of studying scripture. These entries will provide a quick overview of scripture and offer a mechanism for studying the Word and prayer.
Scripture:
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue; and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
Observation:
- Focus on the things that bring praise to God.
- All the things are positive.
Application:
I need to keep my thoughts on the things of God.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to think and look up regardless of what’s swirling around me. In Jesus name, Amen.
