Scripture – Observation – Application – Prayer, also known as S.O.A.P., is a way of studying scripture. These entries will provide a quick overview of scripture and offer a mechanism for studying the Word and prayer.
Scripture:
“And every priest standeth daily and often offering times the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God;”
Observation:
The priest followed tradition, but their works were ineffective. Jesus, on the other hand, was the one sacrifice that was only needed once. Because of Jesus, we are free from sin and death.
Application:
I can walk in the freedom that Christ’s sacrifice gave me.
Prayer:
Lord, Your blood has set me free. Help me to remember the price You paid so I can be free. Allow me to boldly walk in all that You provided. In Jesus name, Amen.
