Scripture – Observation – Application – Prayer, also known as S.O.A.P., is a way of studying scripture. These entries will provide a quick overview of scripture and offer a mechanism for studying the Word and prayer.
Scripture:
“Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.”
Observation:
Eternal life is available, but only if you come to Jesus. Simply reading scripture doesn’t guarantee eternal life. Only a relationship with Jesus can do that.
Application:
I want eternal life, so I must come to Jesus and submit to His plan for me.
Prayer:
Jesus, You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life. I submit myself to You. Have Your way in me. I will go where You lead. In Jesus name, Amen. Holy Spirit, speak to me today.
