Mark 15:37-39

Scripture – Observation – Application – Prayer also known as S.O.A.P. is a way of studying scripture. These entries will provide a quick overview of scripture and offer a mechanism for studying the Word and prayer.

Scripture:

“And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost. And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom. And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly, this was the man of God.”

Observation:

  1. The veil was torn from top to bottom, which proves that it was performed by God.
  2. Centurion didn’t recognize who Jesus was until after He died.

Application:

I don’t want to miss God. I want to see His movement and be sensitive to the Holy Spirit so I can be in alignment with God.

Prayer:

Father, open my eyes to see You. Help me to look beyond myself and see Your will for me. You are the great I am and I will follow You. In Jesus name, Amen.
