Meet Jesus

Jesus is the Son of God (John 1:49; 3:16). He is the third person of the Godhead (Colossians 2:9). The Godhead refers to the Holy Trinity, which consists of God the Father, Jesus the Son, and Holy Spirit (Exodus 3:14; 1 John 5:7). Each has His own personality and they operated as One (John 15:26; Ephesians 4:4-6). They speak the same Word and operate in one accord (1 John 5:8).

Before Jesus took on a human form, prophets foretold of His arrival and they spoke of His many names and responsibilities He would hold (Isaiah 9:6). John the Baptist sounded the clarion call of His impending arrival (John 1:27). God confirmed His identity to others (Matthew 3:17; John 1:1; 3:16).

Jesus was quiet and hidden for most of his life. He spent about three years performing miracles and teaching his disciples. He taught people about the Kingdom and advised them of Holy Spirit. Although many didn’t receive them, He came to save all.

Jesus knew why He was born and His purpose for coming into the world. He died on the cross for the sins of all the world. Yet the story didn’t end there. Three days later, He rose. He now sits at the right hand of God making intercession for us.

If you haven’t met Jesus, I encourage you to do so. He invites us all into a relationship with Him. Not religion, but RELATIONSHIP. To begin this love affair, you need only to follow the blueprint set by Romans 10:9-10:

“Confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord and that God raised Him from the dead.”

Now you’re in a relationship with God. It’s that simple!
