Scripture – Observation – Application – Prayer, also known as S.O.A.P., is a way of studying scripture. These entries will provide a quick overview of scripture and offer a mechanism for studying the Word and prayer.
Scripture:
“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is Christ Jesus.”
Observation:
- Justified – to prove or show to be just, right, or reasonable; to judge, regard, or treat as righteous or worthy of salvation.
Application:
I’m righteous and worthy because of God’s grace. Therefore, I can do all things.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your grace, which makes me righteous. I don’t deserve all that You have given me, but I thank You. I would have been swallowed up if it hadn’t been for Your grace and mercy. Lord, thank You. In Jesus name, Amen.
