In 1 Corinthians 12, Paul addresses a church divided over spiritual gifts, correcting the Corinthians' tendency to rank some gifts above others. "On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable,"
Paul pushes back against any tendency to measure worth by visibility or applause, declaring that the seemingly weaker parts are actually indispensable. The 'still more excellent way' points directly to love in chapter 13, reminding you that spiritual gifts without love become empty performance.
