Joshua — Chapter 10 (BSB)
Chapter Overview
Joshua 10 opens with a coalition of five Amorite kings uniting against Gibeon after its peace treaty with Israel, forcing Joshua to mount a rapid overnight march to their defense (vv. 1-9). God immediately reassures Joshua with the promise "Do not be afraid of them, for I have delivered them into your hand" (v. 8), setting the tone that this is ultimately His battle, not Israel's. "“Do not be afraid or discouraged,” Joshua said. “Be strong and courageous, for the LORD will do this to all the enemies you fight.”"

"And because the LORD, the God of Israel, fought for Israel, Joshua captured all these kings and their land in one campaign."
